This two-session, hands-on workshop is where you'll learn how to build your own junk journal from scratch—using textures, papers, and everyday materials in new and intentional ways. This guided experience is designed to help you tap into your creativity, explore meaningful techniques, and craft a one-of-a-kind journal that truly tells your story.
Whether you're a beginner or already love creative journaling, this workshop will give you the tools, confidence, and inspiration to build your very own 6”x9” handmade journal with personality.
🗓️ What You’ll Learn
Each session is 2 hours and includes hands-on guidance, demos, and space to explore your personal creative style. You’ll learn:
- How to build your junk journal from scratch
- The best tools and techniques to use for a strong and beautiful build
- How to mix “junk,” recycled materials, and textures for interest and dimension
- Add personal touches with journaling, quotes, and photos
- Finish with closures, tabs, and special details
- Ways to add pockets, tags, flip-outs, and finishing touches
Note: This is not a collage class—we’ll focus on journal construction, layout ideas, and design techniques, not full collage spreads.

- Beautifully designed pages designed to empower and inspire you.
- Coordinating papers for pockets, tags, ephemera, and journal cards

👉 In-Person Attendees receive a printed kit plus access to studio supplies like embellishments, adhesives, and tools to complete their journal.
👉 Virtual Attendees will receive a digital version of the kit via email to download and print, along with a detailed supply list.
