Operation Out of the Box! - Cricut 101 Workshop

Whether your Cricut machine still has that fresh-out-of-the-box smell or you’ve taken it for a spin and created some projects, this workshop is for you.

This workshop will give you the skills and confidence you need to start creating your own fabulous projects as a hobby or if you want to take it to the next level and start a business. You'll learn alongside other creatives in a positive and inspiring environment that encourages connecting and community.

This class will be held in-person at Artistic Fusion Craft Studio.

In this session you will:

  • Learn why Cricut is the popular choice for hobbyists and professional crafters.
  • What types of materials you can use with your Cricut.
  • Resources for supplies and designs.
  • Learn what types of projects you can make with your Cricut for business or pleasure.
  • Learn what are the must have tools of the trade.
  • Learn how to navigate Design Space.
  • Learn how to create a project from beginning to end. 

What you will need for the class:

  • Your laptop or iPad (Chromebook is not compatible with Design Space)
  • Your Cricut
  • A 12x12 Standard Cutting Mat (the green one)
  • A positive attitude open to learning and growing.

We will provide:

  • Materials to complete two projects.
  • A beautiful and creative environment perfect for learning, connecting and creating. 

VIRTUAL ATTENDEES PLEASE NOTE: No materials will be sent to you. You must get the supplies needed to create your project.

This workshop will be full of fun and learning. These sessions are held in a small intimate setting which is great for optimal learning. 

Your instructor is Karen Baxter, Ms. Creative CEO, empowerment coach, professional crafter, Cricut and Michaels Stores Ambassador. She is the coach and mentor to women that want to empower themselves and start or power boost their creative businesses.

  • Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before the class start time to get in and settled.
  • The class will start promptly at the designated time.
  • Once the class has started, late arrivals will not be admitted after 20 minutes. If you are within the 15 minute time frame you will be given a chance to reschedule. Guests that are more than 20 minutes late will not be given the option to reschedule. No refunds will be issued for late arrivals. Guests can only reschedule for the same class within 30 days of original class date.
  • No refunds are issued for no-show guests.
  • You must reschedule within 24 hours of your original class.
  • Each class requires a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 guests. If your class does not meet the minimum signup requirements or is postponed, we will contact you and issue a voucher for a future class.
  • Must be 21+ to drink alcohol.
  • No food. No pets.
  • By purchasing this ticket you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
  • If you are purchasing multiple tickets, please inform your guests of these policies.


COVID-19 Procedures

What you can expect from us:

  • Our staff is participating in daily health screenings. If our employees feel ill or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, they are not permitted to come to work. 
  • We are sanitizing all high-traffic surfaces every hour. This includes workshop and retail areas, workshop supplies, tools, equipment, etc. 
  • Employees are strongly encouraged to wear gloves and masks.  
  • Where applicable, workshop supplies have been replaced with single-use products.
  • We have eliminated the use of fabric aprons during classes and are now using disposable ones.

What we expect from you:

  • If you feel ill or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, reschedule your class for a later date.  
  • It is strongly encourage you to protect yourself and consider others by wearing a medical grade mask. 
  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your class start time and expect to be asked to wash your hands before being seated.
  • Because our studio is intimate, please protect yourself and others by maintaining a comfortable and safe social distance between our team members and other class attendees.
  • We will provide all class participants with a pair of gloves to wear throughout the duration of their workshop.
  • We have hand sanitizer as you enter our shop, please sanitize your hands upon entry and exit.  
  • We reserve the right to ask anyone not following our safety measures to leave our shop.
